Cytopathology examines individual cells obtained from fine-needle aspirates, body fluids or smear samples. It's a quick, minimally invasive route to a diagnosis — used for thyroid and breast lumps, lymph nodes, cervical screening, pleural and ascitic fluids, and bone-marrow evaluation. We perform USG-guided FNAC for deep-seated lesions and offer both conventional and Liquid Based Cytology (LBC) for cervical screening.

FNAC: no fasting required; bring previous imaging or biopsy reports if available
Pap smear: avoid intercourse, douching or vaginal medication for 48 hours before the test
Bone marrow: arranged through your consultant — fasting may be advised on the day
